FIRST
DAY : IQUITOS / PILPINTUWASI / BORAS NATIVES
-
Reception
at the airport "Francisco Secada Vigneta" in the
city of Iquitos. Transfer to the selected hotel. Accommodation.
-
At
convenient time, transfer to the port of Bellavista, to visit
the hatchery of butterflies "Pilpintuwasi". In this
place you can appreciate an interesting conservation proposal,
where we can get in a great observatory and watch the butterflies
flying around us. Then continuing our journey, we visit the
community San Andres, where the natives of Bora will show
us their dances, traditions, costumes and indigenous craft
work as well. Later on we sail on the river, where we start
our excursion to reach the confluence of the river Nanay with
the majestic River Amazon. "Wedding of the rivers".
- Return
and overnight stay at the hotel. (Monday or Sunday).
SECOND
DAY : ZUNGAROCOCHA / TREKKING / FREE AFTERNOON

Breakfast
at the hotel.

Transfer
along the road to Zangorocha lodge, where
we get on a typical boat "Pamacari", which will
take us to the lodge.
-
Reception
at the lodge with a typical welcoming beverage of the region.
The rooms will be assigned. Recognition and familiarisation
of the facilities located in a tropical jungle atmosphere.
Lunch. At convenient time a guided trekking through the jungle,
where you will appreciate different botanical species and
insects. The rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy the swimming
pool or to have a well earned rest.

Then
dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
THIRD
DAY : ZUNGAROCOCHA / QUISTOCOCHA
-
Very
early, bird watching in the surroundings of the lagoon.
-
We
have breakfast at Zungarococha Amazon Lodge and visit the
touristic Complex of Quistococha, located 6 km of the city
of Iquitos.
- This
park has an extension of 369 hectares and surrounds the lagoon
of the same name. The complex has a museum, an aquarium, a snake
hatchery, small zoos, paths around the lake and a jetty where
boats are hired. Among its varied fauna it is exhibited fishes
such as "paiches", "sabalos" and "boquichicos",
birds such as blue and red "guacamayo" and mammals
such as "otorongo", pumas, "tigrillos",
"sachavaca", "sajinos", "huanganas",
river wolves, and some apes and reptils among others.
- The
lagoon of Quistococha has a surface of 56 hectares, transparent
and dark waters because of the organic substances and an artificial
beach called Tunchiplaya. Box lunch. The rest of the afternoon
is yours to enjoy the lagoon of Quistococha. Return to the lodge.
Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
FOURTH
DAY : ZUNGAROCOCHA / IQUITOS
